After a few years of service and garnering vast knowledge of managerial skills, Edens joined BlackRock Asset. To be specific, BlackRock’s division of private equity. He worked as a partner for four years. In the short span, he was employed as the managing director as well.

Dallas, Texas has been seeing an increase of activities that involve charities, thanks to co-founder Highland Capital Management, Jim Dondero. One instance of a charitable act by Jim Dondero was an endowment of $10 million for the George Bush Center. This was to help further it’s cause by adding financial support to it’s public program. One of the programs is for uniting authors, thought leaders, and news organizations so the industry can stay abreast with each other. And according to Highland Capital, there will be more to come.

That is just one way that Jim Dondero is helping the Dallas Community. Back in 2001, Dallas officals decided to close one of it’s beloved locations, the Dallas Zoo. This zoo was known for it’s hippopotamus habitat. Since it’s closure, there was a growing demand from the public to bring it back.

In collaboration with zoo managers and city official, they were able to rebuild the habitat. The endeavor needed $14 million in donations to get the project started. Jim donated $1 million dollars to the charity.

Giving back to his community doesn’t end there. One day, he met Mary Jalonick, the CEO and President of the Dallas Foundation and who was known for her knowledge of many different types of charities. He donated $3 million to her he foundation. Shortly thereafter, he formed The Highland Dallas Foundation with Mary. The institution offers grants and financial support for veterans, civic organization, and students.

Adam Milstein is a real estate investor and business manager who is best known for his numerous philanthropic acts.

He was born in Israel where he served in the Israel Defense Force during the Yom Kippur War. After the war, Milstein focused on his education and moved to America. Once he graduated from college he joined his father, who was already an active member of the real estate investing community.

Adam Milstein has founded a number of charities and sits on the board of many more. He and his wife have founded both the Adam and Gila Milstein Foundation and Sifriyat Pijama B’America.

The Adam and Gila Milstein Foundation encourages young Jewish Americans to learn about their heritage and helps them travel to Israel to explore their ancestral home. Sifriyat Pijama B’America provides free Hebrew books to Jewish American families.

Milstein is also the co-founder of the Israeli-American Council. Like the Adam and Gina Milstein Foundation, the Israeli-American Council aims to teach Jewish American about their history and about Israel. The group hopes that this will, in turn, strengthen the bonds between the two nations of America and Israel.

Adam Milstein also sits on the boards of several other philanthropy groups including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Israel on Campus Coalition, and StandWithUS. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is a lobbyist group that lobby’s the American Congress to pass bills that help the relations with Israel. Israel on Campus Coalition operates on college campuses around America and teaches students about Israel and the Jewish people. StandWithUs is an education group that focuses on providing quality education for Israel-American students.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco emerged the winner of the fierce succession battle in the run-up to his appointment as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Banco Bradesco SA in 2009. The appointment was a culmination of the many years—40— he had spent at the Osasco headquartered bank. Luiz Carlos Trabuco, who hails from Marilia just like the bank’s founder Amador Aguiar, started working at Bradesco in 1969. Many people who have since known him as a powerful executive are mesmerized to realize that he was a mere clerk when he joined the private bank. Thanks for his hard work, patience, and resilience Luiz Carlos Trabuco slowly climbed the corporate ladder.

When he graduated from his position as a clerk, Luiz Carlos Trabuco was appointed the marketing director. A position he leveraged to build the bank’s communication systems and established a cordial working relationship with journalists and the media in general. He held the position for eight years before he was promoted in 1992 to become the executive director and president of Bradesco Previdência. Again he used his position to make Bradesco more appealing to the members of the public. For example, he convinced the company to sponsor the Christmas Tree of Lagoa. Bradesco pledged and sponsored the initiative for a whopping 20 years.

In 1999, Luiz Carlos Trabuco was appointed the executive vice president of Bradesco Seguros, and four years later, he was made the president of the insurance unit of the group. It is his tenure as the president of Bradesco Seguros that Luiz Carlos Trabuco put his best foot forward. Some of the achievements he made include doubling the size of Bradesco Seguros, increasing the subsidiary’s revenue consequently growing the group’s revenues, and cementing the unit’s market leadership. From the presidency of Bradesco Seguros, Luiz Carlos Trabuco was appointed the general president of the group.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco seized the presidency of the group during a downturn in the global economic environment whose effects would undoubtedly trickle down to Brazil and affect the country’s financial sector. In fact, experts predicted that Bradesco would perform below par in 2009 than it did the previous year. Also, Itaú Unibanco was the new king in the private bank segment making Bradesco number two. Luiz Carlos Trabuco embarked on changing the prospects of the bank first by developing the skill level of both staff members and executives.

In 2015, Luiz Carlos Trabuco announced that the bank was eyeing to acquire Brazil’s HSBC for $5.2 billion. The purchase later named the most significant transaction in Brazil in 2015, enabled Bradesco to match up to Itaú Unibanco in certain aspects such as branch network.

After serving for over seven years as the CEO, Luiz Carlos Trabuco was recently named the new chairman of Bradesco. He is replacing the 91-year-old Lazaro de Mello Brandao. Brandao was the chairman of Bradesco for 25 years. There is no doubt why he was chosen as the new chairman. Presently, he is both the president and chairman of the bank until next year March when a new CEO will commence his or her term in office.

Who will succeed Luiz Carlos Trabuco? Many experts believe that either Mauricio Machado de Minas, Alexandre da Silva Gluher, Domingos Figueiredo Abreu, Josué Augusto Pancini, Marcelo de Araujo Noronha, Octavio de Lazari, or André Rodrigues Cano will be the next CEO of the conglomerate. The individuals are presently part of the system, Bradesco, heading dockets such as the human resources department, bank’s treasury and lending departments, IT department, etc. Needless to say, the individuals are high performers who would not waste a chance to make Bradesco shine.
